Xiaomi baru saja merilis versi terbaru dari MIUI 8 yaitu MIUI 8.2 per 16 Februari 2017 kemarin. Update terbaru ini berlaku untuk MIUI China Stable dan Global Stable. Beberapa device Xiaomi kemarin kemarin memang ada yang mendapatkan update ke MIUI 8.1, namun beberapa device juga masih mendapatkan update MIUI 8.0. Untuk anda yang masih menggunakan MIUI 8.0 anda bisa segera mencicipi MIUI 8.2. Anda bisa mengeceknya pada menu Updater/ Pembaharuan pada ponsel anda.
Rencananya Xiaomi akan melakukan update bergilir ke MIUI 8.2 untuk device mereka. Update dilakukan pada 16 Februari dan 20 Februari 2017. Namun demikian, tidak semua device kebagian update MIUI 8.2. Beberapa device Xiaomi yang kebagian update MIUI 8.2 Global Stable di antaranya Mi Max, Mi Max Prime, Mi 4i, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi Note, Redmi 1S, dan Redmi Note 4G pada 16 Februari 2017.
Dan pada 20 Februari 2017 mendatang beberapa device Xiaomi yang akan mendapatkan update MIUI 8.2 Global Stable di antaranya Redmi 2, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi Note 3 Qualcomm, Redmi Note 3 Special Edition, Redmi Note 4 Mediatek, Redmi Note 2, Redmi Note Prime, Mi 2/ Mi 2S, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Redmi 3/ Prime, Redmi 3S/ Prime, dan Redmi Note 4 Qualcomm.
Sedangkan untuk MIUI 8.2 China Stable akan diberikan update ke device Mi 2/ Mi 2S, Mi 3/ Mi 4, Mi Note/ Mi Note Pro, Mi 4c, Mi Max/ Prime, Mi Pad 2, Redmi 1S, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G (Single SIM), Redmi Note 4G (Dual SIM), dan Redmi 2.
Menyusul kemudian pada 20 Februari 2017 akan diberikan update MIUI 8.2 China Stable ke device Mi 4S, Mi 5, Mi 5s, Mi 5s Plus, Mi Note 2, Mi MIX, Mi Pad, Redmi Pro, Redmi 2 Prime, Redmi 2A/ Prime, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S/ 3X, Redmi 4/ Prime/ 4A, Redmi Note 2/ Prime, Redmi Note 3 (Mediatek), Redmi Note 3 (Qualcomm), Redmi Note 4, dan Redmi Note 4X.
